What is HostingShortlist?

HostingShortlist is an independent comparison site covering hosting providers. It exists to shorten the search for a host: we set plans side by side on price, quality and how well they hold up in daily use, and link straight to each provider's own website.

How we work

• Hosts earn a place on the list through quality and usefulness, not through the size of their commission.
• Prices and plan details are checked against the providers' own pages and refreshed regularly; what you pay often depends on the term you choose and on renewal.
• Ratings are editorial judgements built on ease of use, what a plan includes, whether a free option exists, and price.
• Everything here is general guidance intended to narrow your choice, not tailored advice for one site.

Independence and funding

There is no charge for using HostingShortlist. A number of links are affiliate links, so a hosting plan bought through one may earn us a modest commission; the price you pay is unchanged and the commission has no say in which hosting providers we put forward. Who is behind it?

HostingShortlist belongs to the Shortlist group of comparison sites, run by Orai Media, a company from the Netherlands that publishes independent comparison and advice sites. The site is a work in progress: prices get re-checked and comparisons get sharper as we go.
